Two daily nonstops to Delhi
Air India and Air Canada both fly Toronto to Delhi nonstop, every day. Air Canada’s block time runs around fourteen and three quarter hours, Air India’s around fifteen and a half westbound, with Air India’s own figures citing up to sixteen westbound and close to seventeen eastbound. Air India restored proper daily service on 1 August 2026, with new 787-9 aircraft, a Premium Economy cabin on the route for the first time, and the Vienna fuel stop dropped. That is recent enough that we check exact times against the live schedule before quoting.
Mumbai, announced but not bookable
Air India announced a seasonal Toronto to Mumbai nonstop on 1 August 2026, three times weekly from late October through late March. When we last checked, it was not showing bookable inventory even for dates after the announced start. We treat it as coming soon rather than as a route to sell today.
What works now: Emirates through Dubai at roughly seventeen and a half hours total, Etihad through Abu Dhabi at about seventeen and three quarter, and Air Canada’s connections on Lufthansa through Frankfurt or Munich in the seventeen hour range.
Amritsar from Toronto
Emirates and Etihad do not serve Amritsar at all. That is a real absence, not a scheduling gap, so a Dubai or Abu Dhabi routing usually needs a second connection back through Delhi, whatever a comparison page shows.
Bangalore from Toronto
Etihad through Abu Dhabi and Emirates through Dubai are quickest, both around eighteen to nineteen hours with layovers under two hours. Air India will sell a single carrier itinerary through Delhi at roughly twenty hours if you would rather stay on one airline and one baggage rule end to end. This route skews toward business and family visit traffic, so it does not see the late autumn surge.
When Toronto gets tight
Diwali and the Ontario school holiday run through Christmas and New Year, with Punjab wedding season from late October into February stacked on top for Amritsar. January and February run softer. Book fixed dates early: on the Amritsar lane, seats on the Delhi domestic hop go before the international legs do.
