Why we do not have a search box
Every competitor on this corridor leads with one. We considered it and decided against it, because a search box is a promise we cannot keep. It shows a fare, you click, the fare is gone, and you are three screens deep in a booking flow that cannot answer the question you actually came with.
The questions people call us with are not price questions. Can my mother get a wheelchair at both ends and will it be there. My father has a visa appointment on the 14th and I need to be back before it. My brother died last night. A form cannot take those. A person can.
What a consolidator fare costs you
Airlines sell blocks of seats to consolidators below their public prices, and we sell from that inventory. That part is the advantage, and every agency on this corridor advertises it.
Here is the part they leave out. Consolidator tickets usually carry stricter rules than a fare bought from the airline. Many are non-refundable. Changes can be limited or expensive, penalties can stack, and mileage accrual depends on a contract between the airline and the consolidator that you will never see. On a flexible trip that trade is often worth it. On a trip where the dates might move, sometimes it is not, and we will say so rather than sell you the cheaper number.
How we are paid
We make our margin inside the fare, the same way every agency on this corridor does. We do not charge to quote, we do not charge to advise, and we do not add a service fee on top of a price we have already given you. The number you are quoted is the number you pay.
